Scouts & Parents, The Leader Guide for Lost Pines Scout Reservation Summer camp is now up!!! BSACAC.ORG ->camping -> for boy scouts ->summer camps (bottom of the page).

That means our sign up for summer camp can begin. A sign up page has been created at:

You can sign up now, and fill in your course selections later. This helps us plan - so thanks for doing it early. Start making doctor appointments to get your scout and yourself, if you are attending camp, a physical.

Cost for camp this year is $230 (plus any fees/supplies for special classes, scuba, ATV etc).

Due Dates: - Sign up for LPSR summer camp deadline is March 5th -

-Deposit is due March 5 (our COH) $115 - payable to Troop 159 -

FINAL course selection is due by April 9th. -

Final payment is due April 9th $115 +fee/supply costs - payable to Troop 159 - All medical forms, YPT certificates, and other paperwork due by MAY 1ST - please get them in early as early as possible.

Financial assistance available: There is a Campership Grant application for any family that will need assistance in order for their scout to attend camp. It is on page 60 of the leader guide. If you need financial assistance, please fill out the form and bring it in to me, all applications will be kept private. There is a limited amount of Grants awarded each year, so please get your applications in as soon as possible. If you have ANY questions about LPSR summer camp please feel free to contact me.

As you know we are required to have current EIM & YPT certificates for every adult who wishes to work with the scouts and attend campouts. Please check the spreadsheet to see if you are good or if you need the EIM refresher course, or if you need to redo the YPT training.

If you plan on attending LPSR, we need a YPT certificate that will not expire prior to June 24th. Summer camps require a new YPT EACH year.

Please turn in any EIM and/or YPT certificates to Donald Twining. You can email it to him at donald@twiningclan.com or bring it into a meeting.

Please go to the Diocese of Austin website for more info on signing up and to get started. You will need to go to their website to do the ONLINE portion of the sign up.

At the end of this email is a selection of EIM courses that are upcoming in AUSTIN. There are many other courses in other towns.

We are checking into the possibility of STM doing a course for our group, we will let you know what we find out. In the meantime, if you can do one of the other courses, please do so. (there is one TOMORROW!!!)
